Eureka Recipe Manager
One of the things we have been asked for time and time again over the years to sit alongside
Eureka was a way to manage recipes and 'kit' products. By 'kit' we simply mean a product which
is made up from a number of component parts. This could be anything from a loaf of bread or cake
to a deluxe Christmas Hamper.
It quickly became clear that trying to manage costs on all the ingredients or components is a major
headache for even the most organized of businesses.
In the frantic day to day running of things it is still all to easy to miss that sharp rise in
the cost of a key component that impacts across your production kitchens. (E.g. Flour)
To that end we developed a system to take the pain out of having to keep a paper system to manage
such things. It is a tried and tested solution called Eureka Recipe Manager and is now available
to you, our Eureka users, for use in your business.
It is FULLY integrated into the Eureka software and is
compatible with both Eureka Lite and Eureka Gold.
The main focus of the software provides an interface for you to define your own set of recipes and
allows you to specify each element in the process taking the following into account:
- Ingredients / Component Products
- Unit Costs
- Packaging Requirements
- Packaging Costs
- Labour Costs
- Other overheads
You will be prompted to specify your desired margin and the system manages the rest alerting you when
costs change in the background.
The software has been developed using Microsoft Excel so that it can be presented in a layout
familiar to many business administrators and links directly with the Eureka database to provide
full connectivity to the rest of your system.
